What a week!

This week has been a very busy week for us. Breklynn decided to start the week off with a bang, actually more of a snip, snip. She decided that she wants to try and follow in Shalie's foot steps and do cosmetology, unfortunately she is only 4 and practiced on herself. Luckily is wasn't to bad, she actually started from the bottom and went up instead of starting from the top and scalping herself. I took her to my friend who told me that I freaked out, and you could barely notice. I still made her even it up so I felt better. The funny thing is it wasn't even worth taking pictures because I was the only one that could notice it. She also started swimming lessons this week, because if you ask her she already knows how to swim. But mom and dad will feel a whole lot better if someone else that is certified can back up her theory. She is the smallest one in her class but she is pretty good, she just can't float because she won't relax.

With it being the 4th of July weekend we had a lot going on. We always go to the "World Famous" Magna 4th of July parade (my father-in-law is born and raised in Magna and always teases me that I have never heard the famous parade, I've decided there is a reason for that). Then we always have a family BBQ and with water activities for the kids at my in-laws house. Finished up with fireworks of course. Breklynn loves the fireworks, I think she is a pyro in training. Derrik liked the fireworks a lot more than the loud trucks in the parade.

We finished the weekend off by attending the PRCA rodeo in Oakley Utah. This is a very fun rodeo. It has the small town feel just like where I grew up. I think that is why I like it so much, it makes me feel almost at home. I thoroughly enjoy the rodeo and Breklynn is getting to where she likes it more and more. Tyler asked her what her favorite part of the Rodeo was and she likes the Mean Bulls the best. I still like the calf roping and Barrels of course. The one thing about having a small town rodeo near a big city like Salt Lake is you get people there that have never been to a Rodeo, which is great that people are trying to broaden their horizons, but it kills me that they talk like they know what they are talking about and have no idea! That is one thing that drives me nuts and the second thing that drives me nuts is the Cowboy hats! You have never been on a horse, you are wearing sandals with socks, but you are a cowboy because you have on a Hat! Kill me now!

Hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th!

I heard the Magna Fireworks started a fire, is that true? Oakley is one of my favorite towns too. I would love to open up a small dental practice there someday (good luck getting that to fly with Rach). It's a great town because it sits at the mouth of the canyon and some serious fly fishing is only ten minutes away. I understand all of your pet peeves about cowboys and all, except for one itsy bitsy detail. I bet you don't mind TIM wearing a cowboy hat, and I'm pretty sure he ain't what you would consider a true cowboy. Haha. LOL ;)
