Disney World 2008

I was going to try and update every day while we were on"vacation", but I couldn't for 2 reasons. 1- We didn't have wi-fi in our room like I thought, 2- I didn't have time. We were going for 10, sun up till sun down. We are exhausted. We all had so much fun, none of us , well maybe Turbo but the rest of us didn't want to come home. We had so much fun. Sis started the week by doing the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. That is where kids can go to be transformed into a princess or prince by a "fairy god mother" in-training. It is so cute and they do such a wonderful job. Sis wanted to be Belle, so before hand I bought her a BEAUTIFUL Belle dress and then they did the rest. They do their hair, makeup and pain their nails. That night we had dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Anastacia, Drusilla and Lady Tremaine (Evil Step Mother). That was a blast. We did something every day and somewhere along the way we had a nice meal planned. Some were with Characters and some were just at nice restaurants on Disney property.

I think the highlight of the trip for me was Micky's Very Merry Christmas Party. It is a separate ticket event at Magic Kingdom on select nights from 4 pm to 12 am. They only allow a certain number of people in the parks, so you know you will have a good time.

Sis loved meeting all the characters, some for the 2nd or 3rd time, but some where new to her. She got to meet Tinkerbell,Silvermist and Fawn (all Fairies, for those who don't know) she loved meeting them. She also got to meet Max, Goofy's son. She loves the Goofy movies that have Max in them so that was exciting for her. She also got to do some of the "big" kid rides. She did the Tower of Terror, Splash Mountain and big Thunder Railroad. She also got to do Soarin which she loved.

Turbo's favorite part was Micky. Anytime he would see Micky he would get all excited and just sit and say "ooh" and try and leap out of your arms. That was very fun to see. He obviously didn't get to go on to many rides, but he did help me conquer Zurg on the Buzz Lightyear ride. He also enjoyed any loud show, fireworks or movie so much that he would sleep through them all. When he would start to get tired I would suggest we find something loud so he would go to sleep, worked every time.

As you can see we where very busy, and need a vacation from our vacation. Sis wants to know when we are going again, we both told her we would have to see, but I would like to make it 2 year tradition, guess we will see!

PS- See Pictures Below :) (Kamee)

November

I love November!!! Tyler and I were married in November, in fact we have been married for 8 years. He is a wonderful husband and an awesome father. I am very lucky to have met and married such a wonderful man.

November is also a great time to reflect on what I am grateful for. I am very grateful for my family, extended family and all that we have been blessed with. We are blessed to have a house to come home to everyday, jobs that we know will be there when we get up in the morning and 2 beautiful children to top it all of. We have been very blessed in our lives and yet sometimes I still find a way to complain about what I don't have. I, along with many others I am sure, need to remember all that we have and what many others may not be so lucky to have. One other thing that I am so lucky to be blessed with is love, no matter what happens in my day, I will always be surrounded by at least 3 people in this crazy messed up world who love me almost as much as I LOVE THEM.

HAPPY 50 DAD

For those of you who don't know my dad, let me tell you I have the coolest dad in the world. He still acts like he is 17 (doens't heal that way- but none the less he still acts like it) and it was his 50th birthday on Friday. My sister and I started brewing a plan to through him a big party since he was going to be 50 and it happened to fall on a Friday night. We invited his family and a couple of his old race buddies from Pocatello. The evening was held at the Blue Bird restaraunt in Logan and was a complete and total suprise to him. We had a great evening. My mom and sisters helped pull off a fantastic night for him. I truly love my dad with all my heart, he kept saying that he didn't deserve such a party, but I have to beg differently, after everything that he has done for all us of it was the least that we could do for him.

Saturday Brooke, mom and I took the kids to "Boo at the Zoo" What a crazy thing to do. There were more people at the zoo than I have ever seen before in my life. The kids had a good time and sure did look cute in theirs costumes.

WEEZER

2 weeks ago Ty and I went to Weezer, they were in town with Angels and AIrwaves. We haven't seen Weezer for 7 years I think is what we came up with. We always went with the Telfords and Rylan. This year though neither party was available to go with us so we went with Frank the tank and Mandy. We had a great time. Weezer always puts on a great show.

They are one of Tyler's favorite bands. I was never a huge fan till I married Tyler and now I also love their music. They are very carefree and very successful "Nerds".

THIS IS FOR YOU RY!!!!

Ocktoberfest

The first weekend of October we have a timeshare at Snowbird Ski Resort. It also always happen to fall on the very last weekend of Oktoberfest. We love going over between conference sessions and see what is going on on Sunday. Every year my parents come and spend the weekend with us and we have a great time. Ty's mom and dad have a time share the same week that we do so usually some of his family is up there while we are.

We took Breklynn and Derrik's picture at Oktoberfest, Breklynn and her cousin Bekah dancing in the big tent to the tradition Oktoberfest music and TY and the kids walking back from the center are the pictures above.

Hey Madison

This is a new video of some songs that Breklynn had learned at Preschool for Halloween. I am posting them for 2 reasons, one she is way cute when she sings them and 2, Madi needs to learn a new song!

SO FAR BEHIND!!

Okay I am so far behind that I CANNOT catch up, so I will do a "Reader's Digest" version of the last 3 weeks in the Daybell house.

1- Labor Day Weekend
Spent in Logan with my parents-- Derrik got his first tooth-- Breklynn and Madison got to ride the horse with Aunt Taya ( thats me) and Maggie (my mom).

2- Greek Festival
Ty ran in the 5k for the Greek Festival. Ty, Kyle (his brother) and I have started training to run some 5k and 10k races. The boys are way a head of me in training, due to more flexible schedules. They were able to run in the 5k for the Greek Festival.. TY took 2 minutes off his previous time.

3-Pirate 5k/2k "Walk or Run the Plank"
Cyprus has a swim club that is for kids 5-18. This is one of their annual fundraisers for the year. Ty and Kyle ran the 5k I walked it with one of my good friends and her sister in law's and Breklynn "skipped" through the all but the last 50 feet or so of the 2k which she ran the end of. It was a lot of fun to be out with our friends to support their kids. Next year Barb and I are going to run it- not walk and push babies in strollers- The boys can take the babies next year! :)

4-Last Weekend
We spent the weekend doing some more Disneyworld prep for our trip in December. We also went to Lagoon for Tyler's work. Breklynn was able to go on a lot of the kids rides. They have improved the little kids area so much from 10 years ago it is fantastic. Breklynn didn't want to go home, Derrik on the other hand had had enough stroller after about 6 hours.

5- School
Ty has started his Fall semester and I have started teaching Dental Assiting again. I actually really love teaching this class. It is a "crash" course on Dental Assisting that last for 10 saturdays in a row. I do it 3 times a year and it is really fun to share my knowledge of the dental field with other who are equally obsessed with teeth.

Well that is a month in a nut shell. When I get the pictures all loaded I will post a few!!

We caught her singing to her brother. (Notice that she catches the camera and stops singing to him and just starts dancing).

She then continues to put on a personal show for th camera. She is such a dancer!

Who Needs a Swimmng Pool?

Breklynn and her dad were outside giving the dogs a bath yesterday when he dad introduced her to running through the water. Who needs a swimming pool when you can get absolutely soaked by your father with a hose. She had a good time running through the water and he sprayed it up and down.

Kids

I am just updating everyone on how cute my kids are. Tonight sis tells me the cutest thing. She says to me "mom I am going to be a missionary, i am going to read the scriptures and teach the children" I had to give her a love and tell her that she will be a great missionary some day. This kid loves primary, she is so excited to go on Sunday. Now I just hope she keep that up when she is 14 on.

The other night she asked me if I could "wash" her feet. I wasn't quite sure what she meant so I asked her to show me. She went to my foot spa and what she wanted was to have her put her feet in my foot spa and give her a pedicure, So I did. I washed her feet with a sugar scrub and then painted her toes. She thought it was pretty cool.

Now Turbo, he just thinks he is so big already. If he could figure how to stand on those two feet he would be outta here! He is constantly kicking and moving. He has started to roll over now. I have also started setting him in a walker. I only put him in the kitchen, but he can touch the tile with his tippie toes, but it is enought that he can move himself backwards. He can't reach enough to go forward only enough to go back. He thinks that is pretty cool, until he hits the table and can't move anymore.

Bye the way did I mention how cute my kids are?

Rockband

I am a few posts behind but I am going to attempt to try and catch up today. Last week Rylan, Rachael, and Rylee we here to visit from North Carolina. We were able to spend some tiem with them, not as much as we would have liked but we understand not enough time and to many people to see. We were able to have them out last sunday for a dutch oven dinner and hours and hours of Rockband time. We had so much fun playing with them that we played for about 5 hours straight. Here are some pic's form our fun evening.

Rylan as Lead singer

Tyler, Rylan and Brice's first gig!

The girls had a lot of fun playing together. They have the best imaginations and when they get together they are hillarious to listen to. Rylee was so upset when she had to leave, next time you guys come out, we'll have to definitely get those two together again!

If anyone has ever played Rockband you know how much fun it is. We definitely love playing.!

Camping

Every 24th of July my family goes back home to Wyoming to go camping. Ty wasn't able to go with us this year due to wrk, but the kids and I went anyway. Little D is was his first time camping and he did pretty good. Big sis was awesome, I don't think there was enough dirt for her to play in.

Her and her cousin M loved riding in the big girl truck up and down the camping spot. The place where we stayed was very pretty. It was next to the Grey's River up Grey's River Canyon. We had a very enjoyable time. Big sis went fishing and actually caught 2 fish both about 10" long. She thought it was pretty cool until they came to the shore. The one that she actually kept on her line was a good size fish for a pink Barbie pole, but as soon as that fish came out of the water flipping around she dropped the pole and ran up the bank. She loves to hold the fish when they are dead, not alive and flipping around.

The girls and I decided to go for a swim and wash our hair in the river in an area where it wasn't running to quickly. The water was so cold that as I was washing my hair I got a brain freeze.

Hope everyone had a good and safe weekend. We had a lot of fun, but we sure missed Daddy!

Little Game

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I or you and Ty had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me or him a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.EVERYBODY PLAY! I want to see what memories are out there!

Happy 4th of July!

What a week!

This week has been a very busy week for us. Breklynn decided to start the week off with a bang, actually more of a snip, snip. She decided that she wants to try and follow in Shalie's foot steps and do cosmetology, unfortunately she is only 4 and practiced on herself. Luckily is wasn't to bad, she actually started from the bottom and went up instead of starting from the top and scalping herself. I took her to my friend who told me that I freaked out, and you could barely notice. I still made her even it up so I felt better. The funny thing is it wasn't even worth taking pictures because I was the only one that could notice it. She also started swimming lessons this week, because if you ask her she already knows how to swim. But mom and dad will feel a whole lot better if someone else that is certified can back up her theory. She is the smallest one in her class but she is pretty good, she just can't float because she won't relax.

With it being the 4th of July weekend we had a lot going on. We always go to the "World Famous" Magna 4th of July parade (my father-in-law is born and raised in Magna and always teases me that I have never heard the famous parade, I've decided there is a reason for that). Then we always have a family BBQ and with water activities for the kids at my in-laws house. Finished up with fireworks of course. Breklynn loves the fireworks, I think she is a pyro in training. Derrik liked the fireworks a lot more than the loud trucks in the parade.

We finished the weekend off by attending the PRCA rodeo in Oakley Utah. This is a very fun rodeo. It has the small town feel just like where I grew up. I think that is why I like it so much, it makes me feel almost at home. I thoroughly enjoy the rodeo and Breklynn is getting to where she likes it more and more. Tyler asked her what her favorite part of the Rodeo was and she likes the Mean Bulls the best. I still like the calf roping and Barrels of course. The one thing about having a small town rodeo near a big city like Salt Lake is you get people there that have never been to a Rodeo, which is great that people are trying to broaden their horizons, but it kills me that they talk like they know what they are talking about and have no idea! That is one thing that drives me nuts and the second thing that drives me nuts is the Cowboy hats! You have never been on a horse, you are wearing sandals with socks, but you are a cowboy because you have on a Hat! Kill me now!

Hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th!

Oh Timmy- You steal my heart

As many know I am a HUGE, fan of Tim Mcgraw. I love him, his music just about everything that involves him. He was playing @ The Usana Amphitheatre on friday June 27Th 2008 and of course of I was there. 15 rows back to be certain. My mom, Trita and Brooke all went with me. It was so much fun, he puts on a great show. Jason Aldean opened for him and let me tel you, if I didn't love Tim so much, Jason and those tight pants may have just stole the show from him. I claim that Tim is the 4th love of my life, right behind Tyler and the kids.

Swimming

Every year our stake does a swim party at the local swimming party. We try and go if possible, it is actually a lot of fun and Breklynn loves anything that involves water (getting her out of the bath tub should be a full-time job). Tonight was Derrik's first time in the swimming pool. At first he wasn't sure, but he warmed up to it and then was fine.

Cookout

We love to go camping, but we don't get out as much as we like to, so we added a little bit of camping to our back yard. We put a Firepit and we try and use it as much as we can in the summer. Breklynn has been wanting to do a fire for a couple of weeks so we finally did last Saturday night. What campfire is complete without the marshmallows? Obviously her favorite part.

Just a little update. I still cannot get the video to work , so you will not be blessed to see the Dancing Queen at her best. But her teachers love her and informed me Saturday that they want her to be on their competition team. They think that she has a lot of talent and she would do great. Little scared about it, but we'll see what happens.

Dancing Queen

She was the "Shining Star" for her class. Me being the non-dancer mom had to ask her teacher what that meant. It basicaly means that she was the best dancer in her class all year. She was very proud of her trophy that she got (as you can see) since it was bigger than everyone elses.

She did her dance to "Big Girls Don't Cry"(the green outfit) and she knew that dance. it was so neat to watch her do it. I have a little preformer on my hands! Her tap dance was to "Swing a Star" (the red outfit).

I am trying to upload some video of the dances so check back!!!!

Breklynn is the Big Fat Four

Today was Breklynn's big birthday party. We have been celebrating her Birthday for a full week now. It started last Friday at preschool and finally ended today with her party. She had a Tinkerbell party (their attitude's mirror each other! :) ) As usual she got spoiled as she does every year. Breklynn and her cousins played a few game and then of course opened presents and ate cake and ice cream. Ty's mom made the cake and it turned out very cute. She got a lot of nice presents, including a new princess dress, a new fishing pole with lights (her dad is convinced that this is going to help them catch the fish- they could use all the help they can get!!), a cute outfit and a lot a changing dolls, plus a sassy princess purse and accessories to go with. So now she is a 4yr old tinkerbell with sassy attitude and accessories to match.

Go BEES!!

Well, we are always big bee fans, but this was my first game of the season and Derrik's very first game ever. Of course Daddy and Breklynn always have a good time and enjoy being together at the games. With the game being over Memorial Day weekend it was Military Appreciation night and fireworks, the fireworks are always a lot of fun. Derrik slept through the entire game and the fireworks, he didn't even flinch. I hope the video works, this is just a sampling of what we saw last night. We are big Bee's fans but last night THEY SUCKED!! They couldn't do much to save their lives, at least the activities at the game were fun, even if the game sucked.
